CYP Encounter Israel Summer 2026

Join young Jewish professionals (ages 22–39) from around the world to support Israeli communities and strengthen the people of Israel.

In partnership with Birthright’s volunteer initiative, you’ll take part in meaningful hands-on service while building real connection and solidarity.

Along the way, experience Israel’s culture, history, and an unforgettable Shabbat in Jerusalem.

Important Note:

 Due to the current situation in Israel, trip dates and group flights may shift by a day or two at the discretion of Birthright. If the adjusted dates no longer work for you, you will be reimbursed. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.

Application Process:

1️⃣ Step One: Fill out the CYP Encounter Israel application 

2️⃣ Step Two: Once accepted, you will receive an email with instructions to register on Birthright and complete their process, including paying the additional $950 fee OR selecting the alternative flight option.

3️⃣ Step Three: Finalize your travel details and get ready for an incredible experience of giving and growth.

Pricing:

Total Cost: $1,550

Breakdown:

$950 Birthright Contribution Covers:

• Round-trip flights (if joining from group flight locations – see details below)

• Hotel accommodations in Jerusalem, including breakfast, are based on triple occupancy (3 people per room).

  If you would like to upgrade your room, the following options are available:

  Double Room: $25 per person, per night

  Single Room: $100 per night

• Mandatory daily volunteering (4 hours per day) supporting communities affected by the war

• transportation for volunteer activities

  
  

$600 CYP Encounter Fee Covers:

• Exclusive tours and cultural experiences

• Deeply impactful visits and insightful discussions

• Unforgettable Shabbat meals and programming

  
  

$200 Discount Available.

If you have a CYP Academy voucher, your CYP Encounter cost drops to $400, bringing the total trip cost to $1,350.

(Without a voucher, the total cost is $1,550.)

Flight Options:

Participants have two options for travel:

1️⃣ Join the Birthright group flight for $950 (includes full program participation).

2️⃣ Book your own flight and pay only $250 to cover the Birtright program fee.

This flexibility allows participants to choose the best travel arrangement for their needs.

• Round-trip flights (if departing from group flight locations)

• All volunteering activities

• Tours, cultural experiences, and impactful visits

Accommodations:

 Participants will be hosted in comfortable Jerusalem-based hotels as part of the Birthright program.

Participate in daily hands-on volunteer work supporting families in need, community initiatives, and humanitarian projects.

Work alongside local communities, providing direct aid and meaningful support.

• Afternoons & Evenings:

Explore Israel through meaningful trips and guided touring across the country’s most historic and inspiring sites.

Travel, experience the culture firsthand, and connect with the people and places that make Israel unique.

• Shabbat in Jerusalem:

Experience a deeply meaningful and uplifting Shabbat filled with joyful meals, spiritual inspiration, and unforgettable moments.
